“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Matthew 5:14-16

Lactation Consultant and Doula in Duluth, Minnesota

I’m a Certified Doula and Lactation Consultant out of Duluth, Minnesota! My days are full spending time with my husband, Alec, 2.5 year old son Rory, newborn daughter Lara, and our Mini Aussie Finnegan. We enjoy going on daily walks around Chester Creek and finding a new favorite restaurant. As a Christian, I believe God provides us strength when we need it, especially during this time.

My journey to motherhood has been more than complicated. January 2022 I saw my first pregnancy test. Unfortunately we found out our daughter, Mia, had died at 16 weeks due to a rare genetic condition called a partial molar. It was the hardest time in my life. We then decided to pursue IVF and brought home Rory, in October 2023! I ended up having a cesarean which wasn’t part of my plan. In May of 2026 we welcomed Lara at home with our incredible midwife, officially having a successful HBAC (home birth after cesarean)!

I feel drawn even more than I had prior to my birth experiences, to helping others through grief and loss, pregnancy, birth, and lactation.

Hi, I’m Bailey!

Why I chose to be a doula in Duluth, MN

My goal as your doula and lactation consultant is to make you feel educated, encouraged, and cared for no matter where you are or what you desire for your journey. I am passionate about pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding education, helping you make the best decision to pursue the path you desire. I believe there is no right or wrong way to birth and feed our babies, and that our bodies are built to do this.

As a loss mama, I feel drawn to help other families that are currently or have previously experienced loss. Pregnancy after loss is complicated and I hope to help those in the midst of this experience feel uniquely supported.

What Does Being a Doula Mean To Me?

I’ve had the honor of walking alongside over 30 families as a doula. With those births, I’ve experienced a variety of different birth preferences, locations, and feelings.

  • Aspirus St. Luke’s, Essentia Duluth, Ashland Birth Center, Fairview Hibbing, and Homebirth.

If you’re planning on birthing anywhere else, reach out! I’d love to learn your birth location and support you!

  • I’ve attended Unmedicated, Medicated (Epidural, IV Pain Medication), VBAC, Planned and Unplanned Cesareans, Pregnancy After Loss births, Loss Births, and a variety of other birth preferences!

I understand each family has special desires and I love learning and supporting YOUR choices!
